New RP part 1

Mirko went head-first into the shack and fiercely defeated three nazis entering from the other side. He looted the officer he had killed and found some food in his pocket, before he ripped off his gasmask and vigorously began feasting on it. Despite how small the chances were of radioactivity being in the outpost, especially inside the shacks, I still couldn't believe why he would risk contaminatio just for some food. Was he really that hungry?

He proceeded to explain that the outpost was for experimenting on making bread, as he handed half a loaf to Kurt as payment for the job. Despite how bread was indeed more or less a miracle, I found it a little humorous. But if they experimented on making bread, perhaps they had a full storage of it? Before I could manage to ask Mirko about this, he hopped down into a tunnel to save the prisoners before they were to be executed, and left us the responsibility of cleaning up the rest on the surface.

"Alright, seventeen remaining" I said to Kurt and Reyes. I got out my Hellsing and loaded it up quickly, taking a shot through the window at the alarm-box. The metal arrow penetrated it but the horn kept making the noise. I fired a couple more shots until the box fell down and the cable was ripped off, the alarm stopped. I then turned back around to the room we were in. "Oh... This explains why those three soldiers came rushing in here..", I said as I pointed at tables behind my two comrades, loaded up with weapons and explosive devices. "We broke into their armoury".

Just as I was losing consciousness, I start feeling slightly more awake again when some of the blood from her cough lands on my face. I smile, thinking how absurd this situation is and how easily I let the enemy shoot me. I talk to Raina, who is waiting for instructions and trying not to lose it: “Never bandaged a wound before? Ok… just… pour this stuff over it and th… and then wrap the bandage as tightly as you can… around my abdomen. We’ll wait until we get to a proper doctor… to take out the pieces.”

She does as he instructs with shaking hands."Like this?"Pours the bottle of stuff on his wound."And then this? She wraps it as tight as she can get it before standing up and putting the aid kit back in his pack."Uhh I'd help you up but uhh don't think I can.

“Yes, just like that.” I reply and then hiss slightly with my teeth clenched as the liquid burns my wounds. She wraps the bandage around my body, “Good job.” Raina tells me she would help me up if she could, to which I respond: “It’s fine. Let’s just wait for the others… to get here. There should be three men… They’re with me.”

She plops down becide him to wait making sure to not bloody his clothes further."You're explaining what I am and what happened I don't wanna talk to anyone right now."

[Enviroment]
The group of Gestapo members quickly evacuated past another brigade of Reich Infantry that guarded the root ahead of the group of intruders.
The Heavy grasped ahold of the Reich Strumbanfuhrer who'd rounded up the lower-tier Reich soldiers to guard the doorway.
The Sergeant spoke authoritatively, but with a muffled tone:
"Strumbanfuhrer, it is decided that the Station is under-attack by Communist Revolutionaries and you and your men's duty is to defend this position. Slava, Comrade."
And ended by patting the man's shoulder reassuringly before wandering off with the squad of Gestapo Blackshirts tailing behind him.

The Blackshirts soon disappeared up another staircase, disappearing from the soon-to-be battleground.

“Sure. The Red Line is planning to take over this place soon… would probably be best to clear out from here before they arrive.” I told her and then asked: “How old are you, Raina? How long have you been held here?”

"I lost count at twenty......and atleast a month maybe two."She shrugs clearly she does not know she likely hasn't kept much count of time

We approached the outpost, we still remained unseen, which was great, if we ju-''click''. Click? I looked at the crew and found the culprit: Mirko took out his AK and put the safety off. But that also meant that-
The sound of his gun was ear deafening, but it sparked the beginning of the harder part: Going loud.
I grabbed one of my adrenaline shots and inserted in my arm. I was no junkie, but this stuff really helped. My eyes widened, i didn't feel my tired legs anymore. My AK felt like an extension of my arm, I saw a Nazi, and before he could even take aim, he already had 3 bullets inside his chest. Lots of shooting and one acrobatic stab later, i found myself looking at Mirko again, who was counting down, ready to breach a room. We rushed in, and after the wall got decorated with the brains of a Nazi, it went quiet. After Mirko searched the pockets of a officer, he found something that seemed special, he took a bite of it, and then handed a piece of it to me: Bread.
''breed'' I said, having trouble pronouncing the word i had never heard of. It looked weird, but it counted as my payment, so i must be some really, really good shit. I took a bite and...wha-...this was delicious! ''Bread!'' I said again, ''Your generation was amazing!'' I said to the crew, and only then i realized my timing was terrible.
I carefully put away the bread a grabbed the AK of the nazi i just shot, throwing away my old one. It was an AKM, fitted with a red dot, i had never seen anything like it. I slammed in a mag, put a bullet in the chamber and said: "Come on, we've got Nazis to kill!"

“I see… My brother… I found him dead in a place similar to this… his fingernails ripped off, his bones broken. I wasn’t gonna let them do that to another person. Not if I have anything to say about it.” Reliving the moment of discovering my brother’s disfigured corpse, I felt a surge of energy. “That cough… You have radiation poisoning. We need to get you to a proper doc, plus I could use some help too.” I smiled.

Raina doesn't respond merely stares off zonning out again she snaps out of it after a moment merely tunning out the horror he was describing."Yes you do you just got shot."She laughs weakly and nudges his shoulder

“Heh,” similarly to her, I let out a weakened laugh. “I know this guy in Polis. It’s actually not far from here, a bit to the south. But they won’t let us in straight away. Still, it’s worth a shot and he’s the only person I can think of who could help you out.” I reached for my bag and took out a small plastic bag of pills, passing them to Raina. “For now, just swallow one of these every five hours or so. They should help your body cope with the level of radiation it’s experiencing and ease the pain a little, but they won’t fix you.”

She takes one of the pills."Thanks man."The woman purses her lips and sighs."I probably owe you alot of bullets don't I?"She looks down at her feet to wait for a answer

“No.” I replied shortly. “You will help me get to Polis and that will be enough to pay me back. We have to look out for each other now.” I patted her on the back, then got up with some difficulty and looked around to see the mess I’ve caused with that grenade. I walked up to the remains of the bodies, holding my side and exhaling in pain, but didn’t find anything of interest until searching through the officer’s corpse. “Well, I was hoping for some more bread, to be honest, but I’m sure you’ll be happy.” I smiled and threw her the tanker hat I found attached to his backpack. “Looks like it survived the explosion almost untouched.” Then I sat back down next to her with my back pressed against the wall.

The woman puts her hat back on and leans her head back waiting for whoever mirko is waiting for

Well, I gotta go sleep now coz I have a flight early in the morning. The idea is that Mirko and Raina head to Polis while I’m away, explaining their absence (Lady Night is ok with her character disappearing too). I won’t be able to post tomorrow so this is basically what Mirko will say when Benjamin, Reyes, Kurt get here:

“Hey guys, nice job on the surface. This is Raina and she’s with us now – she was a prisoner here. As you can see, I got done in pretty good by these guys, but I think I ended up better than they did.” I chuckled, pointing at what remained of the bodies dismantled by my grenade. “However, I will need to get this looked at. More importantly, Raina here is suffering from some pretty bad rad sickness and we need to get her to a specialist. So I will be leaving with her for Polis. Don’t worry though, because I am true to my word.” I unzipped by bag, handing the agreed reward to Ben and Reyes. “Just as agreed, that’s 200 each. Sorry Kurt, I know you missed out here but hopefully that bread will make up for at least some of it. We’ll be leaving now, so farewell comrades… It was a pleasure working with you and I hope we meet again someday.”

I followed after the others as quick as I could, although the Reich that were shooting at me made it a bit difficult. I ducked into the building and took cover by the door, I was just in time to hear Mirko telling us to deal with the rest of the soldiers while rescued the prisoners. "Roger that." I said just as he disappeared. Then I watched as Ben used his Helsing to kill the alarm. "Good shot, kind of pointless though. I'm pretty sure every patrol in the area heard that by now." Ben then pointed out that this was the outpost's armory, which I had just now noticed. "That's good, are there any explosives? We could use them to even the odds." As I said this several bullets flew by my head. "Shit!" I ducked and switched to the other side of the door. "If you want to kill some Reich then get over here Kurt!" I shouted while firing several shots to keep the soldiers in cover.

Reyes suggested we use some of the explosives to even the odds, and so we did. Bullets flew and ricocheted, we threw explosives and fired back until all the seventeen nazis were on the ground and it all went silent. Very silent. Mirko emerged from the hole again with a sick looking woman. Was this the only person we managed of the prisoners? He payed us for the job and began leaving with the woman to see a doctor. I figured he knew a safe passage nearby. I would have offered my assistance to get them to a doctor, but it seemed like it was not a possibility right there and then. "Thank you, Mirko. We most definitely will", I said as they left. I then looked to Kurt and Reyes. "Alright, time to begin collecting some extra payment", I said as I took one of the big bags we had brought, and went outside to begin picking up some weapons, ammunition and other valuables I could be able to carry with me.

It was done, the Nazis were dead, all of them. With smoke coming out the barrel of my AK, i looked at the bodies. Damn it was a lot, i got a weird feeling by looking at them, my stomach held up well, but i really felt ill this time. I sat down and looked at the devastation we caused. I saw Benjamin picking up one of the big bags we brought with us, he continued collecting some ''extra payment'' as he called it. My stomach calmed down again and i started filling my bags too. My brand new AK was a great trophy of course, and this delicious thing called ''bread'' too, but getting some extra bullets out of this would never hurt.

After gathering what I believed was my carrying capacity of extra ammunition, filters, weapons and other supplies from the dead nazis, I stood up straight and made myself loud and clear towards Kurt and Reyes. "I believe we should make our way out of here immediately, we have already been waiting for too long. We made a lot of noise, this place will probably be swarmed with both patrols and mutants soon eno-", my last word was ironically disrupted by one long and loud howl, followed by the synchronized howling of a pack of what sounded like Nosalises. I looked into the air whilst hearing it, before looking over at Reyes and Kurt. There was no point in being silent now, it was too late. "RUN!" I yelled at them before I turned towards the entrance of the outpost and began running towards it.

When arriving at the entrance, I was already far ahead of Reyes and Kurt. I ran some meters to the left before I stopped as I heard several stomping sounds from behind me. I turned around, and looked right into a wall of Nosalises running down from a large pile of rubble, like a wave in the ocean crashing over a large rock at the beach, on the other side of the gate. My heart raced so fast my eyes felt like they were going to pop out of their sockets. The hoarde flooded the gate and made it impossible to exit, blocking Reyes and Kurt inside, making their way to them. "NO!", I yelled out in desperation as I saw there was nothing I could do. Half the pack of Nosalises noticed this, and was headed straight towards me now. I turned around and began running as fast as I could towards the nearest entrance to the metro that I knew of. Hopefully all the dead bodies in the outpost would distract the Nosalises enough to give Reyes and Kurt the time they needed to get down into the hatch where the nazis had held their prisoners, and hopefully there would be a tunnel down there leading further into the metro so they could return to Polis.

I legged it as fast as I possibly could as I knew there was no way I could fight this mass of Nosalises on my own. The more they were, the bolder they were; these nosalises wouldn't use their time to circle around me to get a good angle like a normal pack of four or five Nosalises would have. No, this was a pack so large that they would easily tear me apart before I could manage to shoot them all, and they knew it, which made them all the more dangerous. I couldn't waste a second, I couldn't stop or even slow down to take a single shot. Hearing how they got closer and closer to me, I eventually dropped the large bag with all the loot and sped up. For a brief moment I was running over an area without any rubble to trip over, and so I looked behind me for a brief moment, and could see the three closest mutants throwing themselves over the backpack and ferociously tearing it apart, while the other nosalises kept running after me. I now had a slightly greater distance from them, but I I could slowly but surely hear them growing ever so closer. I still had a bit more time until they would catch up to me, but I was running out of breath, and was slowing down.

I arrived at a large pile of rubble where I had to crawl my way up. Surprisingly enough, I managed to get a little more distance to the beasts while climbing it, except for one of them; it climbed faster than all the others, and soon caught up with me. Just as I was almost at the top, it reached out and clawed my right right across my side. I screamed out in pain as I rolled over and grabbed onto a rusty pipe so I wouldn't fall back down the mountain of rubble. The pipe broke of and was now in my right hand. The mutant leaped up at me again with its jaws wide open, and I jammed the sharp broken edge of the rusty pipe right down the nosalise's throat. It growled as it fell back and rolled far down the pile of rubble, taking a few other nosalises down with it and slowing them down. I crawled my way in pain to the top, and tilted myself over the edge before I lost my footing and rolled down on the other side.

A light emerged in the darkness, and I reached out for it. Was this the end, was this death? The light pushed me back to the ground, it rejected me. "Look, a stalker!" a voice said. "We don't have time for this, we need to get to the outpost. Just shoot him and be done with it!", another voice commanded. The reich soldier removed his flashlight from my eyes and looked down at me. "Pfheh, what a pathetic idiot", the soldier said to himself, or perhaps to me. "Goes on scavenging when he can't tackle the surface", he finished before he blinded me with the flashlight on his rifle again, as he aimed it down at my face. A loud howl was heard, followed by several loud growls. The man lifted his rifle and was not even able to fire a single shot before a nosalis sweeped across me and mowed him onto the ground before it began feeding on him while he screamed underneath his gasmask. I rolled onto my stomach. Distorted and wounded, I crawled my way through a ditch towards a large concrete tube that could fit me and provide cover. Mutants were leaping and hopping around while nazis were shouting, screaming and firing. It was a mess, a tiny war, going on around me while I slowly crawled my way to the tube.

The mutant that had saved my life was now done with its appetizer and I could see it fixing its attention onto me. I got into the tube and rolled onto my back. I tried to get my katana out, but lying on my back inside the concrete tube made it difficult, and so the mutant leaped over and latched its teeth around my left leg. Luckily I was wearing my metal leg protectors, so it did no damage to me, but the mutant still had a good grip on it and shook it around, not letting me go. I tried kicking it in the face with my other free foot, but it didn't seem to have any effect on the nosalis. After what felt like an eternity of struggling and being thrown around, I finally got the katana out of its sheath and turned it around. I shoved it through one of the nosalis' eyes and pushed it deep into its skull. It flailed around for a brief moment before it died. I pulled my leg out of its mouth and crawled my way through the pipe to the other end. The coast looked clear, and so I got out and kept running. The entrance to the metro was finally within sight, and of course, the sound of nosalises' steps were right on my heels yet again. I leaped down the stairs down into the metro. I tumbled and rolled several times, yet managed to get back up on my feet and keep running. At the entrance to the station, I was met by two men guarding the large metal door. "We've got nosalises, get inside!" one of them yelled. They both got up from their seats and hurried inside. With nosalises right on my heels, so close I could hear their hasty breath and almost feel it in my neck, I entered through the heavy metal door and did my best to help the two men close it as fast as possible. Two nosalises got up to the door and attempted to push it open. We were managing to hold it, but not for long. "Hold the door!" I yelled as I stepped back from it and charged at it. The door got ever so slightly closer to being closed. "Keep holding!" I yelled again, and charged once more. This time it was just about to close, but a nosalis got one of its paws in through the tiny opening remaining. I still had my sword in my hands, and chopped off the nosalise's paw with it before I charged at the door one last time until it shut properly and the guards could close the massive lock properly.

Ehhh, fine, you lazy girl.

We had finally made it to Polis, the agglomeration of stations considered by many in the metro to be paradise… or at least as close as you can get to it here underground. I had to spend a large chunk of the pay I received for the job at the Nazi outpost in order for the guards to let Raina through, but I promised to get her to a specialist and I planned to stay true to my word. Besides, the girl had grown on me. The journey here took us longer than expected, as we had to stop on the way at the nearest doctor to remove the shrapnel from my wound and replace the bandage. Raina did a decent job for a rookie, who was shaking from adrenaline and suffering from radiation sickness, but it was such a relief to finally have those pieces of metal removed from my body. I hope Ben, Kurt, and Reyes made it safely back to the metro.

The lights blinded me at first. It was always like this – you get used to travelling in dark tunnels, visiting dimly lit stations, wandering across the surface under the clouds. Yet here it’s completely different. Suddenly, you are met by such brightness that you just have to squint if you want to retain your eyesight. Since we were visitors who were not used to such luxuries, we were handed a pair of old sunglasses each to protect ourselves with. “Welcome to Polis,” I turned to Raina and smiled, “we’re finally here.”

Raina looks around in wonder with half closed eyes due to the harsh light."Wow.......it is amazing!" She smiles at Mirko and adjusts her hat."So....where is this specialist of yours?" She looks around again still in wonder at the surroundings of the large station and awaits a response. Going into one of her coughing fits in the process and putting on a brave face ignoring the headaches.

“He’s not far from here,” I respond to my companion, still smiling despite seeing her go into another one of her coughing fits, “it’ll be over soon.” I try to comfort her. “Come, take my hand.” I reach out and wait for her to follow me so that we don’t get lost in the crowds ahead. “First we will have to pass through this marketplace – there’s always loads of people here, so it’s best if we stick together. Also, you don’t wanna let the guards see you without the proper documentation. My papers and bullets can only get us so far, since I’m not a citizen of Polis, but if they see you in such a sickly state and on your own then there’s a good chance they’d kick you out of here. Alright, let’s go.”
