Forum Limits

Here is some important information that everyone should know. We're still a long way from ever reaching any of the limitations that the services of Forumotion provides; but, in the case that it does happen, I don't want it to come, as a surprise, to everyone. There is a lot of room for us to stretch our arms here, but you never know. If there does come a time, I could always delete some old threads.


The basic capacity for all the forums is 8 million messages, it can be increased to 4 billion if you exceed it...

The basic capacity for the subjects is 65,000, which can be increased to 8 million... then to 4 billion...

Messages in a subject: 990 messages (once the limit reached, the subject is locked and splitted)

Categories/Forums/Sub-forums: 999

Characters in the messages: 65,000 characters (Including spaces)

Characters in the description of a category: 255 characters

Characters in the title of a topic: 255 characters

Characters in Signatures: 255 characters

Number of Bullets:2,147,483,647

Hey, I'm surprised you were able to type something in the text box!! I was able to fix it so you could see what you were typing, but now it appears I have broken the damn thing! I will get to it shortly!

This is good, but what sucks is all that good ol' information that we lose; all those threads that answered every single question about the games, all those threads with all that great content, like the NoClip videos where you could see points in the games that you otherwise can't see. All the roleplay moments I wanted to re-write into a book..

But oh well, I suppose nobody, including myself, could ever be bothered to search or dig through all that old information. And I guess it's good with a fresh new forum/start too

We could copy some of that info and paste it here, I guess.

True, we could make a megathread for people to post interesting things to preserve from the old forum.
