New RP part 1

“Sure. Kozlovski Miroslav, but you can call me Mirko. That’s Reyes and the guy here with the dreads is Benjamin.” I introduced the crew. “I have no love for the Reich either. In fact, we’re just picking up our disguises now and then heading to their outpost to start a fire or two.” I smiled to Kurt. “If you want, you can join us. Can’t promise you a full cut of the payment as we kinda divided it already, but I’ll still get you something for your help and there will be plenty of stuff to salvage. My only condition is that you follow my orders for the duration of the job, as I will be posing as an officer. And I hope you’ve been to the surface and killed men before, otherwise you will only slow us down. What do you say?”

''Reyes and Benjamin, huh?'' I smiled and nodded at the two men.
Mirko told me their intentions for the Reich weren't too friendly either, and I'm glad we shared a mutual hate.
The idea he explained was very, very interesting. Going to a Nazi outpost in a Nazi uniform, and blow it to hell.
What he then said blew me away completely: you. can. join. us.
Following Mirko's orders didn't seem like a bad condition. he is trained, and has a lot more experience, the same probably goes for Benjamin and Reyes.
''yes, i have killed before'' i said, answering Mirko's question. ''i've been to the surface, but not for long, i can't say i really know it up there.'' i pointed up.
''if my lack of experience doesn't bother you guys too much, I am more than ready to help you, tell me what to do''

The tunnels pipeline rattled with the steps of rats, or, it rattled with the voices of the Dead, or, it Rattled with the whispers of the Unseen Watchers.
Viktor himself did not exactly know why the pipeline that strewed across the entirety of the Metro's tunnels rattled violently and for the past boring month, he had constantly pondered exactly why it rattled and shook at exactly 2 AM and 6 PM on Mondays, Fridays and Sundays.
Although the filtrated air of the Moscow Underground was cold and crabby, he couldn't help but sweat, adding to the stench of blood, vomit, and every other trace of the human bodies waste.

He held nothing in his hands as he stood beside a collection of others members of the Gestapo, his face covered and hidden behind a Gasmask like the others had on around him. He was stood facing the inner workers of the 'Quarantine' Zone, this was the area they had generally placed Mutated individuals, separated to the already dead Communists slash 'Political Enemies' which had been executed by a different Gestapo Division a week ago.

The Outpost was violently changing, and quickly. Instead of acting as a Labour Camp it was quickly shuffling into a Military Outpost. The Shultzstaffle divisions had already been pulled out of the encampment, and the Fourth Reichs Infantry Division was set to move in and take over. In the meantime, the Reichs Gestapo forces had been sent in to dispose of its entire existence.
Funnily enough, four Gestapo Divisions had to come in- one after the other in order to 'correctly' dispose of a certain section of people and now it was the Anti-Mutation Division turn to kill the Mutants. But, a requisition order had not been posted properly from Tverskaya into Hansa, and no Flamethrowers had been sent to the outpost.

The Reich was slowly becoming a bureaucratic mess of paper aeroplanes getting flung around the entire Metro, and, it was greatly effective the overall performance of the forces.

Viktor hated the system with a passion.

The heavily armoured man's friends gently broke away one at a time and moved to do laps on higher levels of the Quarantine Zone, where the stench was less noticeable. Viktor intentionally stayed where he was, however, and kept to standing amongst the stench of waste.
He did not particularly like the smell, and it affected him greatly, to the point where it physically made him throw-up after the shift was over, but he did it specifically to set an example to his men, he thought that: as he was a Sergeant, he had to create a solid example. He was not particularly proud of his rank, or position as Sergeant within the Division. But he lived with it and tried his best to do a good job.

Rana is placed back in her cell she coughs blood splattering the floor in it however unlike outside of the cell hans does not make her clean it. She sits shes able to see the airlock from here. she lays down on her bloody cot and trys to rest barely even feeling the hunger pangs anymore or the soreness in her muscles she blacks out soon after lying down.

After entering the room with Mirko's contact, another stranger entered behind us, and quickly disarmed himself when Mirko raised his gun at him. Yet again he proved to be very quick with it, I did not even see him unholster it. Strangely enough, the new arrival, who introduced himself as Kurt, asked for a light for his cigarette. At first I was slightly baffled that he followed us into the room just to get a light, but I quickly realized he was probably actually there for something else. From what he said, he appeared to have witnessed, or overheard, the situation with the Reich spy and wished to join us.
I had always known that people grow up quickly in the metro, but he was still a boy, possibly less than 20 years old.

I stepped forward slightly, "My name is Benjamin. Kurt, i believe I realize what it is that you want, and I share your hatred for the Reich. Trust me, I know how you feel. But do you not have a home to take care of, is that not more important than going out to sate your anger?" I asked him. I was not about to let a teenager just come along if he had responsibilities and someone else waiting for him back in the station.

The man with the dreadlocks stepped forward and introduced himself as Benjamin, and confirmed he wasn't good friends with the fascists either.
Is he wielding a sword? I had seen enough guns, but never a sword this well made, it must be a rare thing down here.
''Trust me, I know how you feel. But do you not have a home to take care of, is that not more important than going out to sate your anger?'' he asked, he seemed concerned.
''My real home lies somewhere in the Reich, i will probably never find it'' i responded, ''A far friend of my parents raised me in Venice, we had to work hard to pay his debts, but what i didn't know was that he drank it away at the bar, we lost our home, and had to live on the street.''
''He shot himself in the head with the very pistol I'm holding'' I still had a straight face, i didn't miss him.
''I have been doing small jobs ever since, just to buy food to stay alive.'' I continued, ''So i have nothing to lose.''
I used the heat of my almost finished cigarette to light a new one, and continued smoking.

I looked at Kurt lighting his next cig with the remains of his previous one. “Here kiddo, catch!” I threw him my lighter. “Was thinking of quitting anyway, so keep it,” I smiled. “And if you don’t have anything that ties you down to just one place – that makes you even more suited to join our little group. Since you’re not getting an equal cut from this job, you should grab this.” I passed him a full 30-round magazine. “They’re 7.62×39mm, which is not the right calibre for your AK-74, but they are also military grade quality so you can use them to pay for stuff. Maybe I’d give you some ammo too, but like I said my Kalash uses a larger calibre.”

Right, come on Clear Sky – we’re just waiting for you now so that we can move on.

I was looking at my cigarette, it burned nicely. I caught the lighter Mirko threw at me and looked at him, he smiled and told me to keep it. ''Danke'' i said as i smiled back. He also gave me a filled magazine, although it seemed to be more curved than the mag my AK uses.
“They’re 7.62×39mm, which is not the right calibre for your AK-74'' Mirko said, that explains it. I noticed it was filled with MGR. ''Don't you need them yourself?'' I asked, looking at the shiny ammo.
''Well, thanks again Mirko, what step 1 of the plan?''

“It’s fine, I got a decent resupply thanks to our benefactor for this job. I’m settled for a while thanks to that.” I replied to Kurt. He then asked about the first stage of the plan. “We’re pretty much ready to head for the Reich station, through which we will head to the surface. From there it is not far to the outpost. You need to put on this uniform first though,” I said passing him another Nazi guise that the old man gave me. “I’ll be playing the officer, you and Reyes will be guards, and Ben will pretend to be a prisoner. This should cover our approach even better and raise less suspicion. As soon as the shooting starts, we turn these armbands over on the reverse side to make it easier to spot friendlies from afar. At the place itself watch out for civvies.”

At this point I was planning to skip forward to the part just as we're entering the fascist station, so that Night doesn't have to wait long until we get to the outpost and she can start RPing with us. But we need Clear Sky Stalker to post first as his character still hasn't acknowledged Kurt's arrival... or the spy's death, for that matter. heh

Sorry guys, my washer broke and flooded my house so I've spent the last week dealing with that. Plus My job is taking up a lot of my time since we switched to overtime. But I should be able to post regularly now, again sorry.

Edit: Also Bamul I wrote one of the uniforms was in one of the bags that I assumed the contact set on the table, let me know if I need to change that.

They way Mirko had dealt with the Nazi spy suggested he had personal grudge against them or maybe just a deep seeded hatred of them in general. Either way I didn't mind, the spy likely had a hand in the deaths of many innocents. Moving down a side passage with Mirko packing the dead spy we met up with Mirko's contact, I chuckled as he dropped the body making the nearby man jump. As they started to chat I looked at the man more closely, he didn't look or act like a Red spy, but then maybe that was point. The contact set some bags on the table he was sitting, I walked over and unzipped one of the bags. Inside was a Reich uniform. Hm, I'll need to take off my jacket and those pants are a bit small, but I can make it work.

"Privet, would..." Whatever else the newcomer said was lost on me as I brought my AK to bear on him. I was about to put one through his head when Mirko lowered his gun and started to walk over to the man, it was only then I noticed his gun on the ground. Great I almost shot an unarmed man, what a fantastic start to this job. Mirko lit the man's cigarette and asked his name, which he gave: Kurt. Seeing the young man was no threat I set my AK on the table. The two began conversing, and when Mirko gave my name I waved in greeting. I stood back as Benjamin stepped forward and asked the man if he truly wanted to come with us, I had to give the kid some credit, not many would willingly head into a Reich outpost.

I stepped forward just a Mirko finished explaining the plan. "As you can probably guess I'm Reyes." I said addressing Kurt. "I look forward to working with you." I turned to Mirko. "So, should we get changed and head out? I doubt anymore are coming at this point."

No problem CS, I’m sorry to hear about the flooding. Your circumstances more than justify your recent lack of activity. I know it wasn’t possible this time, but in the future please try to notify us of any possible absence prior to it actually happening (this goes for everyone here, myself included). Okay, I will now skip ahead slightly so that we can finally meet Night’s character and possibly Jimbo’s.

“Alright. Yes, I think we’re all good now.” I replied to Reyes. We were finally ready to head towards the Reich station. The way there was quiet and smooth, without any obstacles. We only passed a merchant who was on her way to the place we had just left earlier. As we walked past her, we greeted her and continued on our way. Ten minutes later we were almost at the entrance to Reich… that was when the blinding light hit us.

“Halt!” A thunderous voice sounded from behind the spotlight. “Identify yourselves, with hands in the air!” The man barked orders.
“Kameraden! It is Oberscharführer Komraenko here.” I replied loudly and with confidence, readying my fake documents.
“Ah, sehr gut. Please prepare your passport for inspection, officer.” The source of the man’s voice was getting closer. I pushed Benjamin forward with the buttstock of my Kalash,
“Just be careful, soldat. We are taking this savage to the outpost up top. It probably bites – you wouldn’t wanna catch something from it.” Laughter could be heard from the guards at the entrance to the station. “Sorry, gotta make it believable.” I whispered to my comrade.
“Ja, das ist gut. The outpost has been in need of more workers for some time now. Once we are finished with the inspection I will have one of my men lead you to the exit to the surface, Oberscharführer Komraenko.” The officer that was speaking was now in full sight.
“Very well, vielen dank.” I responded, just as I handed him the forged passport.
“I trust these men are with you?” He asked.
“Yes, they are faithful soldaten of the Reich.”
”Hmm... everything seems to be in order,” he returned my ID, ”Kolya!” He shouted to the men, who had now directed the spotlight's beam off of us. ”Take this squad to the escalator.”

There i was, standing in a uniform from a faction i hated so much, in a place i didn't like at all.
I looked at the crew standing in front of me: Mirko, looking weird dressed like an officer, Reyes who i just met, dressed as a Nazi, and poor benjamin, who was our prisoner.
The weirdest thing was that i wasn't scared, I was extremely focused, the adrenaline shot from earlier really did his job.
I only took half, because a stuttering, shaking soldier attracts more attention than we bargain for.
''Halt!'', the fascist's voice blared into my ears, or so it seemed. Mirko did the talking, the rest the acting, it went smoother than i imagined. And after a laugh, we were told to head to the escalator.
''And so it goes.'' I thought.

As we neared the station I slowly breathed in and out in an effort to calm my nerves. I wasn't afraid, but the thought of being discovered was making me uneasy. "Halt!" A blinding light invaded my vision and I instinctively raised my hand to block it. We had arrived, now it was the moment of truth to see if these disguises and ID papers would work. I was a bit surprised at how well Mirko engaged with the officer, he seemed know at least some of their language. Relief passed through me as the officer let us though. Well, we're past the front door at least.

As we followed our escort to the escalator I noticed more than a few Reich shooting me strange looks. The big bag on my back was bound to catch some attention. It had been easy to stow away Ben's regular weapons but the katana or whatever that sword was called had nearly become a problem due to it not being able to fit. However putting together some cloth and some roughly the right shape wood I was able to make the katana look like a wrapped up shovel. Of course it was still odd looking being that it was attached horizontally to my lower back and if anyone looked closely they would see it was also curved slightly. But luckily no seemed to care enough to give it more than a glance.

We were almost to the escalator now. I donned my Reich gas mask and screwed on a fresh filter in preparation.

Kurt was a strafer, it seemed. I felt pity for his poverty, and almost considered offering him some of my pay for the job. But I stopped myself, I needed that money badly.

We managed to stash most of my gear in Reyes' bag, I only kept my clothes and the coat, as well as a gasmask on my belt. We were greeted by floodlights and the reich thenselves. Mirko put on an impressive immitation of a reich officer, so good in fact that it could almost make you wonder if he had once been one. He proceeded to push me with the stock of his rifle to make it all the more believable. As the blinding lights eluded us and we walled forward, I got an uncomfortable feeling. It had been my fear for years to be caught by the reich, and now I was giving myself to them freely. I really hoped the plan would work out. As we walked towards the escalator, I kept my head lowered, putting on a pose to make myself look tired and unable to fight, so I would not be considered a threat. This way my hair hid my face to make sure I would not get recognized. I waited for someone to put my gasmask on me as my hands were bound.

Edited the post to say "Reyes' bag" instead of Kurt's, as you had made a little mistake there. Hope you don't mind me doing that heh, I will post the next part soon.

I was proud of my comrades that they withstood the tension and did not blow our cover. After all, the Fourth Reich is the last place you would want to infiltrate in this manner considering what they would do to you if they found out who you really are. This was doubly true for Benjamin, who was playing the prisoner. In fact, he and Reyes attracted some suspicious looks from the Reich citizens and soldiers scattered around the platform. Kurt and I blended in quite well though. The kid was actually a useful asset for this job – a former denizen of the fascist faction who knew the language as well (definitely more than the few basic phrases I had learned over the years). Of course, most of these neo-Nazis could not speak German very well at all, but it was useful when speaking with the higher-ups or in order to impress someone.

When we had climbed the steps of the once moving but now still escalator, I thanked Corporal Kolya for leading us and he was on his way after nodding in approval. Everyone was preparing for the harsh conditions of the surface now; even though the snow was gone, the radioactive dust and mutants remained. After putting on my own gas mask, I turned to Ben and did the same for him.
“What are you doing?! Is he not being exiled… or executed?” Inquired the guard, “He shouldn’t be wearing that.”
“No, this prisoner is going to be a worker at an outpost.” I replied, but the man did not seem convinced. He was no longer opening the gate. “We wouldn’t want to damage the goods along the way, now would we?” I added. After a moment of uncomfortable silence, I barked in true officer fashion at the sentry: “Are you questioning my authority, soldier?! Do you need to be reminded how you should speak to an oberscharführer? Perhaps you’d like twelve weeks of re-education?”
“What? N-no, sir!” He jumped in bewilderment.
“Then open the damned gate this very moment!” Faces were turning in our direction and steps could be heard in the background; at least two men were walking up the stairs from the platform.
“Right away!” Responded the guard and then promptly returned to turning the valve, this time doing it at triple the speed than earlier. “Good luck with your assignment.” He added just as we were leaving through the opened passage. As the gates shut behind us, I breathed a long sigh of relief that my comrades undoubtedly heard through my filter.
“Grand job, boys! We are halfway done.”

After we had walked some distance away from the entrance to the station, I turned to Benjamin and took out my knife. Carefully cutting into the underside of the bit of rope bounding his hands, I spoke: “This should be just enough to not be noticeable, but also allow you to break free easily enough when the action starts.” I walked onward, scanning my surroundings left and right. “Kurt, you’ll want to be extra careful here. Although we’re in a fairly central part of Moscow, there are just as many dangers here as on the outskirts.”

There we were, on the surface with the ruins of dead Moscow surrounding us. I always felt a little strange when I looked at the ruins, it was a feeling I couldn't quite place. Shaking my head to clear away my thoughts I checked my AK to make sure it was still working order. Satisfied the weapon was in proper working order I put my arm through the rifle strap so I wouldn't have to carry it by hand. Looking around at where we were I still couldn't see anything resembling an outpost. "Hey Mir-." I paused, we were in Reich territory and you could almost never tell when they could be watching or listening. Best to stay in character."Herr Officer, how far is it to the Outpost?"

“Not far now, just a few minutes more along Strastnoy Boulevard. See those trees over there?” I replied to Reyes, pointing my finger in front of us, “That’s the widest bit of green around here unless you head north to the Moscow Hermitage Garden or east to Tsvetnoy Boulevard, if my memory serves me correctly. That’s where the outpost should start according to our intel.” We kept walking forward for about five minutes longer, with no hazards in sight thus far. All was quiet until we started hearing voices and the crackling of twigs burning in a campfire – the sounds were coming from the direction we were heading towards. It was getting dark as the evening gradually turned into night, but visibility was still at an acceptable level.

I figure we will reach the objective by my next post, so I will wait and let yous write your characters' reactions first.

Moscow was far from what i expected. Where were the "cars" and "planes"? The man from venice loved to talk about what was upstairs. He probably assumed i would never go up here. Moscow was dead, the had lost it's soul. It feld weird, i didn't like it. But as i was looking around, my face hidden behind my CM4 gas mask, i realised we were here for a mission, and not a for a verdammte picnic. Mirko warned me for the dangers here, but it wasnt needed, I already had a bullet in the chamber of my AK, and was ready to kill anything that would jump out on us.

No matter how many times I had been on the surface and how many dangers I had met there, I never got used to it. Despite the snow being almost completelt gone now, it still gave me chills. Perhaps it was all the radiation. Even despite a Reich outpost being fairly close, you could always hear a not-so-distant howl now and then, and they were just as scary every time because of how irregularly they were heard. Walking through the place without a weapon in my hands did not make it much better. I kept my eyes on Reyes the whole time so I would know where he was exactly, in case I needed to jump over and grab the sword.

My mind was ripped out of focus as I heard voices and fire, were we nearing the outpost? I assumed my prisoner-position and pose yet again and kept walking.

Finally, we had reached the outpost. This was it – we managed to disguise ourselves as fascist troops on our way, didn’t blow our cover, and made it here without any major hiccups… but the hardest part was just ahead of us, as we will need to clear the entire place of Nazi scum. It was now dark enough to justify using a flashlight, and so the guardsman next to the fence did just that by illuminating us in the increasing blackness of the evening.
“Welcome to Hope outpost, kameraden! Documents please.” Said the man with a bastard in his hands, in a surprisingly friendly tone.
“There you go.” I passed him the forged passport, “Oberscharführer Komarenko here, with my men I have come to deliver this prisoner.” I nodded my head in Benjamin’s direction.
“Ah, I see… Hold on a moment.” The sentry stopped in his thoughts, I could see his forehead became slightly wrinkled with suspicion. “There were no new workers scheduled for today, so I will have to check this with HQ.” He called another man over.
As the second soldier approached, carrying a portable radio station, I took the first opportunity when the first fascist turned his head to look at the radioman. I turned off the safety with one sharp click, took aim and swept both of them off their feet with a short burst of fully automatic fire from my AK-103. Immediately afterwards I jumped to the man with the radio, who was still alive, and bashed his head in with the stock of my rifle.
“Alright lads, let’s get started!” I exclaimed to my comrades, turning my armband over to its reverse side and rushing in through the gate, ready for anything.

It took me a second realize the plan had changed from 'sneaking in' to 'full assault', but when it finally hit me I fired off a few shots and ran to the the nearest cover I could find. "Benjamin, over here!" I called dropping my bag and flipping my armband. Then the whine of an alarm started to sound. "Ah hell we're in it now comrades!" I shouted leaning around the wall I was using for cover and fired several shots in quick succession at some approaching Reich soldiers.

“Well, at least we don’t have to worry about any reinforcements from Reich since I busted the radio.” I shouted to Reyes, which I followed up straight away with a series of shots in the enemy’s direction. “But that siren will attract any patrols in the area, so we’ll have to see about turning it off.” After realising that I had created an opening for myself along with the covering fire of my allies, I moved up next to the doorway of one of the wooden huts and then helped my comrades do the same by suppressing the enemy – peeking out from behind the corner of the building every now and then to shoot at the tangos. “Remember lads, according to the spy I popped outside the station there should be twenty-three of them here.”

Btw, how I imagine this outpost looks is three or four small makeshift huts made of wood and aluminium, surrounded by a fence. There is a little tower in the middle where the siren is located.

I was glad Mirko had cut my rope so I could break free on my own, because I did exactly so when he had to take out two guards at the front gate because they were about to blow our cover, and so our stealth operation went full-on assault. "Benjamin, over here!" Reyes shouted as he dropped the bag with my gear, and I ran over and began packing out my own backpack and gear. My hellsing was still inside the backpack, but I managed to sling the sword onto my back. We followed Mirko into the outpost and took cover behind one of the four huts. He reminded us that there should be 23 men according to the spy. "21 now, at least", I said as I motioned at the two dead reich soldiers back at the gate.

Suddenly I could hear a metallic banging noise above us. I looked up and saw a hatch open up with a reich soldier leaning out of it and taking aim down at us with an AK-47. I pulled out the sword on my back while turning 180 degrees around, dodging the burst he made towards me, before I thrusted the sword up into the man's chest. He screamed for a second before the blood began pouring down as I pulled back the sword, and soon his body followed down. I holstered my sword and picked up his rifle, cocking it to make sure it was loaded. "Make that twenty", I said.
