So I hear you are dissatisfied with the default FOV, or perhaps have seen somewhere that Metro is using a low FOV setting by default and want to fix that? Before you change anything be aware that the existing Metro games are using the vertical angle, not the horizontal one. If you set it to something like 90 you'll be wearing a fish bowl for a helmet. So use [
this FOV calculator] to convert desired horizontal FOV into vertical FOV.
In any case, there should be several user.cfg files in the following locations for Last Light:
- Quote :
- ...\Users\%your_username%\AppData\Local\4A Games\Metro Last Light\user.cfg
...\Steam\Steamapps\Common\Metro Last Light\user.cfg
...\Steam\Userdata\%a_bunch_of_numbers%\43110\Remote\user.cfg
And 2033:
- Quote :
- ...\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\4A Games\Metro 2033\user.cfg
...\Steam\SteamApps\Common\Metro 2033\user.cfg
...\Steam\Userdata\%usernumber%\43110\remote\user.cfg
Files for the Redux versions should be roughly in the same spot.
Look for lines "
sick_fov" and "
r_base_fov".
You might need to change these lines in all of these files. You might also need to switch them to Read Only so that they do not get overwritten by the game.
If you mess up you can simply delete them. Starting the game after this will create fresh files with default settings.
